The Best Possible Development Environment

    You know coding is 90% having your computer set up for it

    Monday I had two usb drivers stop working & that was me stuffed all day. For a coder this is traumatic.

    Just stuff like that - the environment has to be setup perfectly with all updates, versions, IDE etc

    And all the hardware & internet perfect - then it all goes smoothly

    As soon as any of that stuff goes wrong it turns to disaster

    I wonder why "some guys" have "a lot of problems" and the other one's not.

    Like my two sons. One of them has some strange aura or energy which let things brake for some reason after a short time, no matter what it is.

    Consider yourself lucky. I had lightning strike 3 times in less than 5 weeks and cost me over $3,000 in electronics damage starting in June and into July. And I have no less than 10 APC Backups connected to all of my equipment! I have since added a few extra protection devices and am awaiting word from APC on a claim. I shudder when I hear thunder...

    I always have at least 2 environments setup, you never now...
