Version 5.50 will be released in a couple of weeks. The new version will include a totally new desktop IDE. The IDE will be based on a third party highly professional control. The performance of the IDE will be much better than the existing IDE. Other new features will include (not final): - Local arrays and structures. - CallSub - dynamically calls a sub (using a string as the name). - AddMenuItem / AddTable / AddImageButton - Bug fixes.
Sounds good Erel, can't wait to see the new IDE. As it was a little bit of struggle for me to become a friend of B4PPC, the urge of looking around for other alternatives has been gone completely. A wise decision to choose for third party IDE software, this will make it easier to concentrate on the real stuff - and give you more time to progr... eh do something nice with your family Scub
Sounds like music, Erel. May I come up with some elementary items, that you may wish to include? 1. Click event for labels 2. KeyUp/KeyDown event for image buttons 3. Set(F)Point or Draw(F)Point for forms If there is still time... Thanks so much! Robert
You never cease to amaze me. How do you find the time to progress B4PPC whilst also offering so much valuable support on the forum? You have my greatest respect. Good work RandomCoder
In the next version, is there any solution to combine all the library in to 1 library? At the moment, my little application need 8 .dll files to run
Great news! Will the speed of Basic4ppc v5.5(especially ppc version) be increased in comparison to present one? It would be very desirable for all of us.
Oh Yes Erel! Much nicer and rather more professional looking UI. I much prefer those smaller neater menu icons and the .NET "standard" icons in the right pane. Looking forward to trying it.
- line numbers :sign0060: - showing a variable value on mouseOver in debug mode :sign0060: By the way ... is the "watch variable" feature (permanent view of a variable value) still available?
I wish in next version there is a way for B4P work with compiled libraries. It'll be easy for newbie user like me :-D
