iOS Question Video activation

Hi, I have a book full of pictures, each picture is related to a video that is on my server.

I want to make an app that works with the camera and when it "recognizes" the picture that the camera is pointing, inmediately start playing the video that is asociated.

I have solved the video part, I mean, the part to load the video from the server and play it on the phone, but I havent solved the "recognition image" part

Any idea on how can I do that? Any help will be very much appreciated

Maybe add a small barcode or QR code to each of the images and then scan it with the camera.
