With the rise of Android based games consoles, such as Ouya and now Google announcing a console in the works. We need to push Basic4Android to support aspiring games developers to create games for these machines.

We currently have accelerated 2D graphics using the gameview library, but we're missing a full game engine, supporting things like pixel based collision detection. We also don't have a full 3D engine to use with B4A.

Is anyone working on any games related libraries right now???? Or do people here think B4A should be more for apps and not for games?

Feel free to choose one and convert it to a lib andy ;)

I personally know nothing about games programming.

Hehe, I wasn't offering to write a games library wrapper. Only suggesting that improving the ability to write games using B4A using something like OpenGL would be a good boost for the community size and sales of B4A. It would also be useful for writing impressive looking apps along the lines of Google Earth which is entirely OpenGL based.
