Android Question What could be the reason for an app that suddenly takes 30 seconds to install?

Hi,

I'm kinda pulling my hear out. I have a small app, that used to install in a matter of seconds. This morning I changed a little (added an extra field in the data file that holds a couple of settings) and now the app takes 30 seconds to install. This is the case in debug and via B4A-Bridge, but also if I directly install the .apk.
The app does install in the end, and works as expected, but why does the install take so long?

I hope maybe someone has an idea where to look?

Looks like it has nothing to do with the change; i found the older .apk file, from before the changes, and that also suddenly takes 30 seconds to install.
So I managed to change something on my phone. :(

Sorry for coming up with something obvious, but I have to ask if you have tried restarting your phone?

I did reboot the phone which made no difference. Lack of memory does not seem obvious; although maybe not brand new the S7 has plenty memory.

And to completely confuse me the problem seems to have solved itself. Now the installs are back to normal, a couple of seconds.

I have no idea what caused this. Anyway, thanks for the input.

Well, in theory it could be that the phone used a lot of resources communicating with its own stuff on the net. You know, checking for updates and sending telemetry etc.
