i'm getting this error message when trying to load a xml file from my web site, now it was working ok a week ago but just started, this is the xml file.

<d>the space, usually 29 inches deep, between the baulk line and the bottom cushion</d>

it loads ok on computer leapdroid simulator, if works ok on an older samsung phone, but using a52 samsung not working.
any input would be appreated.

thank you for your quick reply but still not working, it loads the layout and then shuts off with that error.
i added what you sent: see:

I think if your app is for the Google play store then your android:targetSdkVersion= should be at least 30

Is your website use SSL?
Can you download the file using https://www.videoservice.us (HTTPS) ?

It's very similar to a problem I had a while ago.
The domain with or without certificate.
The doubt to which of the two is making the request.

Both are active.

https://www.videoservice.us/ with certificate (letsencrypt.org)
http://www.videoservice.us/ No certificate

well after many hours troubleshooting if changed httputil2 library to OKhttputil2 and fixed problem.

Since you never mentioned you used the old library then we assumed you were using the recommended OkHttpUtils library.
