LockZero – 100% Offline Secure Vault (Free & Premium) – Looking for Testers

Hi everyone,

I’d like to share a project I’ve been working on called LockZero, a 100% offline Android app built with B4A / B4XPages, focused on local-only data protection.

LockZero was designed around a simple principle:
your sensitive data should never leave your device.

Main Characteristics

  • 🔒 100% Offline
    • No internet access
    • No servers, no cloud, no analytics
    • No data transmission of any kind
  • 🧠 Zero-Knowledge by Design
    • The app never knows or stores your phrase, PIN, or secrets
    • Everything is processed and encrypted locally
  • 🌍 Multi-language Support
    • Available in 4 languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Hebrew
  • 🔐 Password & URL Vault
    • Secure storage for website URLs, usernames, and passwords
    • Import passwords and URLs from Google Chrome via CSV
  • 💳 Credit Card Data Storage
    • Securely store credit and debit card information locally
    • Data is protected and never leaves the device
  • 🗂 Protected Groups
    • Data organized into groups
    • Each group can have its own protection method (phrase, PIN, biometrics as a convenience layer)
  • Automatic Session Protection
    • Sessions close automatically after inactivity
    • Optional timers and visual indicators
  • 🧱 Android Native Security
    • Uses Android security features (e.g. FLAG_SECURE)
    • Prevents screenshots and screen recording where applicable

Free & Premium Versions

  • Free version
I’m attaching a Free APK here for anyone who wants to download and test immediately.
  • Premium version (Google Play – testing phase)
I’m also running an initial closed test on Google Play.

👉 If you’d like to participate in the Google Play test,
please send me a private message here on the forum, and I’ll reply with the next steps.

If possible, testing via the Play Store is very helpful to validate updates and distribution.

Feedback Welcome

I’d really appreciate feedback on:

  • UX and usability
  • Security flow
  • Import process (Chrome CSV)
  • Offline-first design decisions

Thanks to the B4X community for the support and for taking the time to test and share feedback.

Best regards,
Humberto (Beto) Spatz

Whoa! Sounds great! I've been wanting something like this for a while. Looks like I can store attachments with it. That includes any kind of files, like PDF, PNG, etc.?

Yep! I've got it installed. I think I have one password saved at the moment. I'm trying to find a usecase for it. I keep all my passwords with Bitwarden, and I keep notes in other apps, so I'm thinking of what else I can put into the database.

You’re not meant to replace Bitwarden 🙂

Think of LockZero as a personal offline vault, not a password manager competing with cloud-based tools.

Some real use cases where users are finding value:

  • Emergency / offline access
When there’s no internet, no browser, no sync — travel, airplane, abroad, network outage.
  • Things you don’t want in the cloud
Credit card details, personal IDs, recovery codes, Wi-Fi passwords, documents, or notes that feel “too personal” for online services.
  • Document attachments with fast access
Photos or PDFs of IDs, licenses, contracts, certificates, or any file you may need quickly from your phone — fully offline, no login, no sync delays.
  • Temporary or situational data
One-time passwords, short-term project logins, hotel Wi-Fi, shared credentials — things you don’t want to pollute your main manager with.
  • Mobile-first access
When you’re away from your computer and just need something now, fast, without browser extensions or logins.
  • Zero-knowledge / zero-recovery mindset
LockZero doesn’t sync, doesn’t upload, and can’t recover anything — it’s a conscious trade-off for people who want full control.

A lot of testers start by adding:

  • Credit cards
  • IDs / documents (with attachments)
  • Wi-Fi credentials
  • Personal notes
  • Backup access info they don’t want online

If you use it that way, it complements tools like Bitwarden instead of competing with them.

Feedback on what you would never store online is especially welcome — that’s where LockZero really lives.
