53% of developers use Samsung phones

Looks like Samsung G2 is the default development phone.

Latest Infographic shows 53% of Android developers owning a Samsung phone and 62% developing for Android exclusively | TalkAndroid.com

Don't believe it. I am a developer and I wasn't asked what device I develop on, so this survey isn't representative of developers, just some of them.

So this is yet another pointless factoid with no real basis in fact, oh well...

I exclusively use a Samsung Galaxy S. So that's at least 50% in this thread

That's how statistics work. They don't need a 100% sample size, just a large one.

Most of my purchased Android gear has been Samsung:

Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0
Samsung Galaxy Note

They seem to have the best hardware at present, although HTC have a good "One" range now. If I had no Samsung devices I would be considering the One S or One X, mainly because of the camera

As for Motorola, I am done with them. I bought the original Droid (Milestone) but Motorola have refused to unlock it for 'business' reasons. Thus it's stuck with Froyo. Goodbye Motorola
