A definition of Success

I was watching something today, instead of programming and here is a simple, perhaps over-simplified definition of success:

Success is the ability to focus on one task until it is finished.

I thought that was quite profound.

But not as profound as this

Serendipity is searching for a needle in a haystack and finding the farmer's daughter

This is something I also consider very deep and wise:

"If you don't build your dream someone else will hire you to build theirs"

which perhaps can be interpreted as:

If you don't go flat out with full gas to physically force your idea to the top of the food chain then you'll end up working for someone else and having to follow their rules.

ewww!

and their stupid ideas.

You'll just turn up at work every day and maybe get that all time great feeling of 'what the H*** did I do to deserve this?'

or with me it was 'what am I doing here?'
