So I have thought about it a bit.

You're looking too hard.
Imagine that you have a twin, he is just animal, instinct, no fear.
Your personality DNA removed, he is just animal you.
Imagine him looking deep into your eyes, he doesn't feel contempt, he doesn't feel curiosity, he doesn't feel. He's just your animal counterpart.
You can look into his eyes too. Don't be afraid, just look. Look deep.
keep looking, remember that feeling.
Walk along the street.
Keep your eyes ahead, remember that feeling, you don't need to look at anyone.
You don't need to automatically look at girls.
You don't need anything, you are just you.
Try that exercise for a week or two.

I think this trick works because as soon as you look at a girl she turns her head away, naturally, but while you aren't looking it gives her a chance to continue to look at you uninhibited.
I did it yesterday while pushing my moped through the street and a girl came up to me and asked about how to get a moped.
I pretended not to see her until she addressed me.

added: In your subconscious, notice how when you look at a girl, even if she's busy in conversation, her eyes blink.
She saw you looking at her, even while she was talking to someone else, the 'blink' gave it away.
The trick seems to be, don't look at em'
