Buses times

Hello everyone!

First of all, thank you very much for reading this and, possibly, helping me

I'd like to create a new app about the buses times of my city. So that the user can choose a date, time and bus line and the next bus ride will appear with more info. Unfortunately, the bus company here does not offer any API or tool, but just PDF files, like this one: http://www.atm-alessandria.it/di/c/cd/ORARIO INVERNALE 2012-2013/3 INVERNALE 2012-2013.pdf

Do you guys have any idea how my app can "read" the PDF above? I'll then store all the values in a database.

If that schedule it's only 1 page, then you will have to do it manually, you can save the PDF as text using Adobe PDF reader but I don't think it will look right.

Get in touch with the bus company and tell them about your app.

Ask them if there is any way you can get the same data that is in the PDF but in a different format - CSV or anything that you can process.

I don't think a PDF can be processed and any useful info extracted.
