In my Google Play Console under User Acquisition for an app I see AdWords Campaign.
I'm curious about this. Has anyone tried AdWords?
It's not worth spending any significant amount of money, maybe $25 USD or so, on the Paid app that I would set up this campaign for, but it might be fun to try.
Basically, how does it work? It seems like I would produce some simple graphical image adv, have a click on the adv image redirect the user to the Play Store page for the app, choose a few keywords that would trigger this ad being shown, then I am charged each time someone clicks on my adv.
How much am I charged per click? Do I set the amount I am willing to pay which means I am in competition with others who happen to choose the same keywords?
I am eager to hear any comments from anyone who has given Google Play AdWords a try.
I seem to remember a few years ago that I received a coupon for first time AdWords users where I would receive a matching credit for any amount I spent. Does anyone know of an offer something like this?
