Curious On Activity

Hey guys I am curious on how this is done. I have seen it in a few applications. Anyway at the bottom of some of the apps there are little white squares and when you slide you finger from right to left it goes to the next page/activity. Is this considered a horizontal scroll view? An example would be awesome.

I don't know for sure, since I haven't seen such apps, but perhaps they're using something like sliding panels?
