How do I run application on phone

I have an app completed far enough that I wish to run it stand alone on my phone for awhile to find any potential bugs. Is there a way of doing that without uploading going through the android market. If so, how do I install it on the phone?

At one time, I could use the B4A on my phone to save the applicaiton to the phone and then run it off the phone any time I wanted but now the application dissappears when I stop the dugger on the computer. I am connected wirelesss via the computer/Basic4 program.

When you compile your app, the .apk file is saved to the Objects folder, so
you can go there and saved it to the phone first (Download folder) or any other
folder, and install it from there.
Remember to disconnect your phone from the computer in order to access the
apk file in the phone.

An easier way is using B4A Bridge to connect your device. When you compile your code, it will install apk file automatically.

Solution worked great

I am, at times, working moble with a laptop and cannot link B4 to my phone due to the lack of wiFi. However, coping the apk from the object directly directly over onto my phone worked just fine.

Running app on phone in non-debug mode

I would like to test my app for awhile. Is there a way of compiling the app so it will open and run as if it was downloaded from the app store rather than "waiting for IDE bugger to connect" everytime I run the app on my phone?

You have to change the compiling option from DEBUG to RELEASE, that will not show the "waiting for IDE debugger..." message.

Were is that located?

I have looked in the IDE and all I can see is a compile and run under Projects. Were do I set the option to release?

One other option...

I get my friend to test my apps on his SGII phone. I email the apk as an attachment. Gmail will ask if you wish to install the attached APK.

Works great!
