How to solve ANY problem using an Android emulator :-)

Real story from last week: My gf's kids are at home due to Corona and the teachers told them to read a book. So between the parents a discussion started where to get the book. As you can imagine, there was a huge discussion in that WhatsApp group where to get it. Paper or digital, etc. Most parents decided to get the online version for their Kindl-reader (or similar).

My gf doesn't have a reader. The paper version was sold out so the discussion in that WhatsApp group (wait.. I wasn't involved yet ? ) continued where to get that digital copy and how to read it without having a reader. Some of the parents were aware of apps for tablets. And yes, my gf doesn't have a tablet, too. So she came to the conclusion that a mobile phone would be too small to read that book and someone told her to install an Adroid emulator on her son's pc ("bigger screen") to read it properly.

When I arrived at her house (yes, this is allowed here in Germany) she told me just that one topic: "Could you please help us to install an Android emulator on my son's pc". Not knowing any detail of the whole story it took me some time to understand what the real problem was. Even now I have to laugh it. Several hours of "research" instead of asking her bf ??? After installing Amazon's reader on her son's pc everything was fine in seconds.

What do we learn?

- understand the real problem
- the solution is simple most of the times

PS: For ANY other problem: Install an Android emulator first!

Not sure what is the problem here. If mobile phone screen is too small, the other alternative for me is screen mirroring mobile phone screen to the TV or monitor.
