Improve icons for B4X short cuts

Hi,
This is meant a positive criticism:
From a marketing perspective, I think the icons for the shortcuts of B4J and B4A (don't know about B4i), could be easily improved and "should" be improved.
To me, they look "very simple" and it catches my attention every time I see them. I think lots of other people might agree on that.

It does not affect how good the product is, but it does affect any "first impression" anyone gets after installing the product.
It just gives this somewhat "unprofessional" look to the product for anyone who doesn't know it. That's a shame because in reality, B4X is absolutely great!
Maybe you don't agree with me, but I do think that it interferes with the first impression people get of the product and it can easily be improved.
Myself I'm not very good in graphics, if not, I'd suggest some icons.

just my 2cts.
regards,
MiguelL

Maybe you are right. Personally I 've never minded about the icons as I look straight to the quality. Maybe @Erel could head to www.iconarchive.com and find a designer who will design 4 icons which will look a bit more welcome towards the eye.

Thank you.
Yes it's not something urgent (for me), but it just improves a little bit the overall first impression people get.
It's just a suggestion, let's see if Erel finds it important enough.
(If only the white background would be different it would already improve).

regards.

As a simple example, I've created these 2: see the attached zip file.
The main difference is that the background is transparent.
Well, I think I now should concentrate on learning B4X
:)

interesting observations. well the current ones are not too much of a problem for me given these famous ones that appear on the B4x home landing page. though, the background colour bit might be worth an experiment. then there are the examples normally at the bottom of this page. when ever i have designed logos its just been a lucky stroke that gets the "catchy" one. maybe the overall shape could change? i won't loose any sleep over it though.

Indeed, those would make more sense. There's no need to have an icon which says for example "B4A" in the description and also shows B4A in the image of the icon.
Good suggestion.
