Android Question Issue with MarqueeView

I am trying to use the Lib from @DonManfred to establish a little moving banner.
But also the example given here https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/marqueeview.67627/ let the App crash immediateley.

Is there some hint or am i missing something ?

I do not have the source any longer. Had a HDD Crash in 2016.

I can´t say about anything if you do not provide an full stacktrace.

Even then i´m probably unable to solve anything in the lib.
Probably worth not to use the library any longer.

There is no error in the log oder somewhere.
Apps starts and ends at once.

Seems so, there are other ways to realize a Marquee/Ticker.

btw: total lost of Data (you had a hard drive crash if i remember right) is always the absolute SuperGAU for every developer (had this,too)
Nowadays we can backup everything to the cloud, but in further times not available/practicable
