Beginning January 1, 2015, due to a change in Value-Added Tax (VAT) laws in the European Union (EU), Google will be responsible for determining, charging, and remitting VAT for Google Play paid apps and in-app purchases for EU customers. No action will be required on your part.
The above is the first paragraph I received today from Google. I just don't know why Google insist in depriving EU from buying my Apps by putting so many obstacles.
This has been appearing on AndroidPIT for a while now:
Due to VAT law changes effective on January 1st, 2015, we cannot offer the upload of new apps anymore. However, you can still add apps to your profile ("claim" apps).
We will shortly inform all developers and users via e-mail.
What are people saying here? that paragraph doesn't say you can't upload any more apps to Google Play, only that Google will handle the VAT on paid apps for you. I don't see the problem here.
