Yep, an app that took me less than an hour to develop has about 1500 active installs and that's growing daily.

I'm well happy with the result, but what annoys me is that users just do not leave feedback or g+1's, well not unless there's an issue. I've come across that with another app, a few users are using the other app, but people like to leave bad feedback if it does not work as expected. But if it did work as expected, they probably wouldn't have left good feedback. That does no really apply to the app linked below. That app has about 1500 users using it, but only 32 have g+1 the app 36 have left feedback. That's really pitiful IMO

Yes, I'm thinking that too!

Being given the most powerful development tool in the universe.

We tend to 'over think'

Most people only give feedback to complain, otherwise they dont spend their time to review the app. After all they now have the app if it is good, what good would a review be to them.
G+1's are quite rare, lesser than actual ratings (or equal). Usually the same person who rates it also +1's it. Usually these are developers or app hunters or android addicts.
This is why many apps ask the user (in a dialog) to rate the app, and that too usually after 3-4 uses so they know the user likes the app, he is keeping it so likely to get a better review. Try it, it gives you a boost.
