Nexus 7 Debugging

I'm probably overlooking something, but I can't seem to get b4a to recognize my Nexus 7 for debugging. I looked all over the Settings on the 7 and cannot find a check box anywhere that says USB Debugging like on my phones. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

go into Settings
-> About Tablet
-> now tap on build number (a few times)

a message is displayed 'you are now a developer'

new return back to settings and you should have the developer settings option

Well, I would have been a long time coming up with that one :)

But, there must be something else I'm doing wrong. It did place this

{ } Developer Options

on my Settings menu.

I checked USB debugging, but things still don't work. I also have checked to allow apps from other than the Play Store under Security. Do I have to do some other stuff as well?

Hello,
I use a Nexus 7 successfully as one of my debugging devices. Maybe I can offer some assistance.

For debugging I use the B4A bridge with a wireless connection. I have not used USB debugging on the Nexus.

I did not need to modify any debugger settings - interesting I just noticed there aren't any.

In Settings/Security I checked "Unknown Sources".

Barry.

Thanks for the suggestion. I finally gave up on the USB connection with no luck and went for the Bridge connection. Everything worked fine.

I had the same problem in connecting my Nexus 7 for usb debugging but the following blog has a very good step by step guide which sorted it out.

Thank you Lagore! That blog resolved everything - now it works also with USB-debugging.
