We all know B4X is amazing.

Just saw an ads on FB that another BASIC variant has just announced a new release. I wonder how it has so many bugs (80+) to fix, chart component just available? And yet Android is still not available (as promised for years) but they still claimed they are listening to their users. I think someone may able to guess what I am talking about.

B4X continue to grow everyday without even need a sponsor ads on FB. ??

I love this article! On the other hand, I also notice how I'm really getting on in years. Funnily enough, I have worked and learned with many of the basic variations mentioned.
At the beginning ATARI-XL-BASIC, then ATARI-Turbo-BASIC (with a compiler!!), ATARI-ST-BASIC on my beloved 1040STE. Then first BASIC variants under MS-DOS and then the true revelation from Borland: Turbo-Pascal.

I loved all these language variants, even if BASIC never really got rid of the whiff of "GOTO-infested interpreter programs"...

I am very happy that even today it is still possible for me to program with B4A and B4J for several years with my old BASIC knowledge, even though today's BASIC versions have nothing in common with the ancestors on the 8-bit computers.
