I remember being at a computer fair back in... 1990? Maybe early 1991? One booth had a Mac running Photoshop and no staff nearby. I happened to have a disk just like that available so I thought it would be worth a try. Popped it into the mac and copied the full Photoshop version 1 onto the disk. Ejected the disk and walked away like a smooth criminal.

Ohh wow..

I found Pick here, I was wondering what happened to this. This is how I got introduced to coding when I started working. This IT company poached me due to being inquisitive about things and they introduced me to this and VB and windows 95 at the time. I remember installing VB using 30 or more floppy disks at the time.

As times went by we got into using Universe Objects with vb6.

Those were the days.

Oh, you still have that animal?!! MS jumped from VB1 to VB3. never published VB2. I then used VB3 + DBase 4 and crystal reports in the early 90ties. I hope I can find that 3.5" floppy disk reader. I have some games source codes for DOS vb 4.5, beside the compiler.

I am wondering how they are still promoting Pick..

Yeah, that was a picture of the book that I had handy.

As far as needing a floppy disk reader, there are utilities out there that can mount and IMG file and create a windows drive letter - This might work: https://imdisktoolkit.com/

I was actually a beta tester for VB for DOS - The project code name was "Escher".

Got the first beta disks on Jun 2,1992. Then they were up to release candidate #3 on Aug 25, 1992, then they released it shortly after that.

I recently wrote a program using Microsoft Visual Basic 1.0. I have a Book 8088 running DOS 6.22 and wanted a hint program for the Scott Adams adventures, as well as a retro programming experience. The program has all the hints for 16 adventures.

I love all those retro stuff. Brings me back to childhood where life was simpler 😄

My first pc was a C64 with tapes. I remember the sound when the tape was loading the game like bruce lee or rambo.

I cannot get a real c64 but i do bought the mini version and sometimes i plug it an play again those old games.

I also have a ps1, atari, snes, and game and watch portable console.

I plan to 1 day to fly to japan and get crazy in a Hard Off store and buy many consoles. 😄😄😄
