Hi y'all

When it comes to designing apps I fall short, the coding part, well, I work well with that. I'm always fascinated with the *eye candy* apps that are posted here. I guess its also the creativity of the designers that come to play, sadly I'm not that creative and I'm not a designer.

I need help, if anyone could offer a hand and kindly request anyone who could point me to the right direction.

Simple. With the various views that we can create using B4X, what are the best approaches to use on the UI, appealing and make one to always want to come back to your app?

As an example, the app might be doing all it intends to do but the UI might be *boring, without a designer, one needs to *bling the UI. Any ideas please?

Ta!

what i try to do is searching the web for app examples and if i like something i make the UI similar but still different and unique.
you always need to try to make a unique and familiar UI design so people are used too and fill comfortable in your app.

very important use Android UI for android apps and iOS UI for ios apps. don't try to mix them it won't work! IOS user are familiar with ios Views and not Android View!

so its time now for some googling ;)

Hi, I am obsessed with making apps with stand-out and awesome UI.
Check out my recent apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.multiverse.jarvis
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.multiverse.walldrox

I recommend you to take a look at:
https://material.uplabs.com/
https://dribbble.com/

I check out uplabs and dribble regularly. Most of the best design inspirations I have gotten for an app is from the designers that upload here. I also save as many GIF/Images as I can while scrolling through the feed.

Hope it helps.

The sites indicated above are good sources for inspiration.

Many years ago I wrote an app for a company which included a remote-control. In this case I got help from a good friend who is a designer (but you can find designers also on sites such as Fiverr.com). He passed me on all images and then I "assembled" them using B4A and designer-script and assigned events for each button.

So yes, with the designer of B4A you can do most things such as those eye-candy apps you see circulating.
