I have been reading through the forums to find out how to record audio that is playing on my device but it seems that you can only record from the Mic on the phone, or from the incoming / outgoing call.
Is this correct, or is there a way to record the device audio ie something that is being played out the speakers or earphones rather than capturing it from the onboard mic's?
If I am not mistaken, you would place the audio (mp3) files in your project's Files folder during design and development and play them with MediaPlayer when the app is run on the device. For the details of how that works, search for "MediaPlayer" without the quotation marks and then read the tutorial.
What I am doing is allowing the user to remix some audio but I want to be able to record their mix with out having to resort to capturing the recording from the Mic.
