Synaptics is annoying

Since years (maybe a decade) I fight against my built in synaptics touchpads. I'm using an external mouse and switched off all functions, esp. the "click functions". On ALL laptops I had (and the ones of my friends) you can switch it off but it comes back after a reboot.

As long as I can turn off tap to click, I can live with most touch pads. I do get annoyed with older ones that can’t do two finger scrolling (I’m spoiled now). Macs make my brain hurt (scrolling is reversed compared to windows-at least that is how perceive it).

The scroll direction can be changed in system preferences - mouse : untick "Scroll direction Natural"
