To insure or not to insure...

That is the question

I`m planning to start a business writing apps and wondered, of you guys doing this, do you have business insurance? If you do, what kind? Public liability/professional indemnity? What insurable risks are there?

I don't have it but it's my "second job" activity.

As you don't need to buy stuff for your clients in advance your expenses will be small which limits the risk on that part.

Depends on what you are writing. If it's stuff for the play store then you can limit your risk to the cost of the software via the license agreement. If you are writing custom apps for a third party then you have a much larger potential to get sued for all kinds of things but you can mitigate that with a well written contract.
