I can be a good source to learn something about Bulgaria because I am sure most of the time you hear bad news about us. Several years ago, I was in Austria. At that time there were floods in Bulgaria with extreme damages. The people who were interviewed were invalids - without one eye, ear, etc... All they were gypsies. But on the news, it was stated that these are bulgarians. And you, westerns, by seeing this, you would say "what a nasty nation". We are also looking for our "place under the sea" - it's a bulgarian phrase... We are very sensitive as a national when compared to gypsies as whole. Gypsies are 6-7% of the population but they were the first to enter the EU countries and create the bad opinion about Bulgaria as whole
