I wrote my first program and compiled it to a filename.exe which runs on the desktop.I wish to deploy it to my pocket pc with an icon so i download setup builder and ezsetup.
I run setup builder and Add my filename.exe. The paths for cabwiz.exe and ezsetup.exe are entered.
I filled in the cabs properties and ticked Create shortcut.
I filled in a path to readme and EULA.

I click Build Cabs and the button blinks.

I click Build Setup and the Msgbox says "Build Cabs first".

Is there anything I am not doing?I cannot find anything in the Help or forum

I click Build Cabs and the button blinks.

At that point I would expect a Command window to open to perform the building of the CAB file, but it then closes.

The source of SetupBuilder is available, so you can run it under the IDE and see what it is doing. It creates a number of files, names based on the "Application Name" you provide, which will be in the directory in which you have put SetupBuilder.exe. (It is probably not a Good Idea to have any spaces in your Application Name!) Which of those files have been created should give you an idea how far the building proceeded.

my setupbuilder problem solvedhttp://www.b4x.com/forum/images/smilies/sign0188.

Thanks Mike,
Once I put all the files in the same directory it worked.
However,I have a very grim icon on my PPC Programs screen.I was hoping that if I ticked Create Shortcut there would be an opportunity to select an icon file.
I will plug away at that.:sign0188:

You can choose your icon under File

Yes. But it is not very good at telling you if it failed, or why. Best to try to repeat it immediately. If no file appears against that menu item then the icon didn't work. Possibly if it has > 256 colours...
