If you weren't a programmer, what do you want to learn? Why do you think that?

I wanted to become Civil Engineer, the one makes design for bundling/structures etc.
I loved designing and drawing and also Physics.
Also I wanted to play flute.

As a programmer I do more or less same but it is different.

When I was about 20/21 I thought about enlisting myself to the Portuguese airforce, and once inside, take radio engineering. But I was too late, too old for them, so I took an electronics tec ( level 4) formation, and then I got into cableTv... If I were to "go back" I would like either mechanical engineering or product design.
Why... because even without formal knowledge, I just dive into them whenever I need or can...

When I was young, I wanted to be a fighter pilot. What could be more wonderful than being able to fly.
Then, I told myself that if it was to go bomb people, there was no point in doing this job. I am peace and love.
I have always had my head in the stars. I would have liked to do astrophysics. Unfortunately, it was not possible.
In the end, I studied electronics and computer science. The goal was to design programmable electronic cards.

Before taking up computer science course, I was interested to 3D animation. I got an offer to a famous university but my dad said he can't support the tuition fee so I ended up to a college and didn't realize I has taken double major in Computer and Maths. It was a tough life and repeated my final year in bachelor degree due to my poor performance in maths.
