B4J Question Why string to float conversion fail?

B4J V4.7 give error converting a string to float
My code:

st = st.Replace(",",".")
Dim listino As Double
If IsNumber(st) Then

listino = st

where ele(5) is string , value "181.61"
IsNumber(st) return FALSE

From the error message it looks like the value of ele(5) is "181.61" including the quotes , hence the message numberformatexception ""181.61""
Maybe try removing the quotes from the string.
