In the designer, it is very usefull to change the positions and sizes of a group of selected views. But it will be more usefull to change the other properties : text size, color, background color, ...
First when you select many views of the same type : all the properties can be changed in the same time
More complicated when you select views of different type : only the common properties can be changed
