link: Why not? It is a Service and it is using a Timer. You can for sure use httputils to download data and then draw it (what ever)...

I'd like to support the Daydream mode, but since it's so similar to Live Wallpapers (Why didn't Google just make them the same thing?) it'd be awesome if it could be built into the LWP library, and let you detect which mode it's in....
