Hi,

yesterday, I updated three apps and uploaded them to the App Store. A few hours later, I received three emails with the following content:
Hello Filippo,

Thank you for submitting your items for review. We noticed an issue with your submission that requires your attention.
...
...
We look forward to working with you to resolve the issues with the following items:
App Version

6.21 for iOS

App Review Guideline Issue

This is an automated message. The review of this submission cannot proceed. See below for more information.

The app crashed on launch. Apps that crash negatively impact users.

Test the app on supported devices to identify and resolve crashes and stability issues before resubmitting for review.

Learn more about testing a release build.

After receiving these emails, I logged in to the Apple Store and replied with the following message:
This is already the third app you've rejected, and always for the same reason!
I tested the app in release mode on my devices (iPhone 15, iPhone X, iPad Mini) and didn't encounter any issues during launch.
You should test the apps on real devices as well, not just on some random simulators.

So if anyone else is having the same problem: Don't immediately assume it's your fault; contact Apple first.

Ciao,
Filippo

Maybe the AI reviewers are busy reviewing tonnes of AI generated slops. They ignore you and us (human developers). 😅
