Android TV

I noticed a new option in the Google Play Developer Pricing & Distribution section for apps -

'ANDROID TV'

This looks like another great opportunity for developers.

One of the basic requirements is that the app has to be developed in landscape mode.
As most of my apps are developed for portrait mode they will not work with Android TV.

Anybody using or implementing this?
What has been your experience?

Some of my apps are AndroidTV compatible and I also have GoogleTV (which has been replaced by the Nexus Player), they work just fine.
