Hi Erel

Used Hosted Builder - successful upload to Itunes Connect

Attached is the screen shot of files as seen by Application Loader (with files greyed out) produced from local builder

did Step 5 no problem. Copied resultant ipa file in rchive.zip to 2 folders - 1 on Mac, the other on win7. Ran Application Loader . ipa file greyed out in both folders

Try to update to Application Loader 3.1.

Used the Application Loader in latest version Xcode 7.2 so assume that's latest version of Loader. However I cannot check version I'm using as the 'About Application Loader' is also greyed ou in the menu. I compiled again using Hosted Builder - that downloaded ipa file is still greyed out when trying to access with Application Loader. Is this an Apple problem?

It sounds like there is a problem with your Application Loader.

My conclusion as well. I reverted to Xcode 7.1.1 (from 7.2) and used the Application Loader from Xcode menu developer tools. The ipa files seen as normal
