Android Question Apps overwritten when new app installs

when I clone code from an app and rename it...rewrite the code to make and new app and install it, it overwrites the old app and only the new complied app remains on my phone... I can only have 1 app at a time... are there entries or files that need to be renamed... I’m using a galaxy note 3 for my phone. Cant find the problem... original code was from a database example and now anytime I modify the code for a new app...it runs fine but overwrites the previous app... HELP.

Look at the PACKAGE NAME, they have to be different.
