B4R Question Arduino Mega EEPROM erase

Hello,
I store some system settings in arduino mega eeprom(password, LCD darkness...etc), but when i upload program from B4R to arduino, some of these variable remain unerased! and I'm not sure, does uploading programs erase eeprom or something wrong with my board, and what is the default erase byte 0x00 or 0xFF?

Uploading programs do not erase the EEPROM.
