Android Question AudioRecorder in a service

In one of the posts on AudioRecorderapp (library Audio 1.5), it is suggested that the recorder function occur within a service.
Is there sample code for this service? If not, how does one create the service, given the app has a UI?
Thanks

I have tried to use an Activity as well as I've tried to put it "in-line" in the MAIN.
The problem I'm having is the Audiorecorder starts and immediately my main layout shows back up and the audiorecorder is running "behind" the main application UI.
Is there a way to handle the Audiorecorder as a view; place it on a panel; or in any other way allow it to become "modal"?
Thanks Erel,

Thanks Erel.
In simple terms, I'm trying to implement a layout with "record audio" and "record video" buttons.
When the user touches one of the buttons, the application should show the recorder; allow them to touch the record icon; speak (or video); then touch the stop icon; finish the completed event (save the file); return to the app UI.
Is this possible with this library? (I think the audio quality/volume etc. is excellent using this library and I will be using (audio) for TTS)

Yes, I did.
I guess I should have explained further that I need to save the audio/video to a file. I also like the UI from the audiorecorderapp and videorecorderapp.
Any advice?

Thanks Erel,
I was using that example.
I had incorporated it into my main application, but failed to manage my Kiosk function so it was repetitively restarting the recorder activity.
Thank you again for all your great help...even for those of us that don't seem to have all cylinders firing:oops:
