I am about to embark on a fairly complex project that requires a B4A front end (mobile) and a B4J back end (server).
My client is in a remote location in Alaska (Red Dog - world's largest lead/zinc mine) and does not have (cost effective) access to the internet. There is also no Cell coverage in this area. Wifi devices (ie. N7 tablet) and Access Points shall provide the data transfers required.
This is why I think B4J can provide a local intranet solution that is easily expanded and maintainable using MySql as the database - preferably on a Linux server. The project requires the monitoring, recording data and reporting on 30 pieces of mobile assets (ore haul trucks and other such equipment).
I shall write the front end, I need a qualified person for the back end. Other back end solutions shall be considered (ie. LAMP).
