2. We really need to respect Erel's wishes when he repeatedly asks to include one question per thread. Although your 2nd question references B4XPreferenceDialog, it is independent from your first If you post a new thread, please indicate if you are talking about ShortOptions and include any code you may have tried. I am pretty sure you get an answer and your request can be fulfilled and text alignment can be set.
