BASIC4PPC With Unitech HT-660

I Would like to know if an application will run fine in a Unitech HT-660
I have a Windows CE netbook and have run minor Basic4ppc optimised compiled applications. It will not run the Basic4ppc device IDE.

For applications there are some differences, the menu is at the top of the Form and occupies space in the client area that your control layout must take account of and there is no SIP (at least not on mine as it has a full keyboard).

You no doubt will need to access the specialised hardware of the device. It appears to be available though Com ports which the Serial or SerialEx libraries should be able to access. Also Unitech appear to supply a .NET library USICF.dll callable from C# or VB.NET. Although this may not be driectly useable from a Basic4ppc application a simple wwrapper library could be written if you have some skill in either of the languages.

I wouldn't therefore say it won't work but I can't recommend that you go ahead with it as I don't know the extent of your knowledge and experience. Ideally you would need to borrow one and do your own trials to see if you think you can make things work OK.
