Currently the BBCode scrolling label is limited by the bitmap limits of the Android OS, old versions of the OS used by Amazon Fire TV Stick are limited to 2048x2048
I am trying to use this scrolling label as a New feed (RSS) Ticker at the bottom on one of our solutions. But this limits the news to about 240 characters (about 40 words, one or two news items at best) Typically a news feed is about 20-25 items, maybe 1000 words, 6000-8000 characters.
On later OS I can use the much larger bitmap limitations to show the complete feed.
I would like a version which can run within the smaller limitations
I have toyed with break the longer text into chucks and feeding them in as the label scrolls, but I am sure this will not work very well and will result in a massive jump in the scrolling text at regular points. Obviously I would prefer the text to continue to scroll smoothly and wrap when it gets to the end (in a continuous loop)
Can any help with ideas or a solution for us.
