Beep?

Without resorting to a wav file, or guessing about the location & name of the "beep" generated by the system on an error, is there a way to make that noise through a call to the system/from B4P?

I don't know which wav files are always present. But in writing my metronome program, I found that when the required wave files are missing, the system will sound a beep (or 'ding') to complain. That could be a useful side effect. You may try to sound a nonexistent wave file and see if you system works that way. For me, it works on both my PC and mobile device.
