Hi,

Who has experience with the Creality-K1 3D printer?
I'm not sure if I should buy it, what do you think?

I would say, if you have a reason to buy it, then buy it, but don't buy it and then find reasons why you bought it.
I would have bought it to play with, like many things that I no longer use ?

I have no experience with the K1 but it was on my shortlist a few months ago when I was looking for my first 3D printer. It came down to the K1 or the Bambu Labs X1C. I went with the X1C.

Both are fast. Quite fast for a consumer-grade machine. The closed-source nature of most of the X1C had me concerned but I got over that pretty quickly. The reported poor customer service and responsiveness of the Creality brand was my biggest concern after I really dug into the research and talking with users of both. A big part of going with the X1C was the fact that I simply wanted something that would just work. I wouldn't have to fiddle with it very much. I love to fiddle with things. But, I didn't want to do that with this.

I'm not trying to convince you of the X1C. Just my own experience in making the decision. As far as speed, you'll never regret speed. And, an enclosure. So many more filaments to use and options with an enclosure.

Thank you for your feedback.
It may be that the X1C is better than Creality-k1, but it costs more than 2 the price.
I don't want to spend that much on a 3D printer either.
I ordered the Creality K1 from the Creality store for € 431€.
In 2 weeks I will be able to say whether the purchase was worth it.

... sounds like my grandfather said: "se t'völi gnì, agnì, se t'vöuli gnì agnì, agnì gnì... ma dsï gnì da agnì pöi gnì agnì..." ?

Bought myself a K1 Max a few days ago - certainly was a heart over head decision!

I was up and running pretty quickly out of the box, but definitely a big learning curve, which I don't mind as it's important to keep the brain active as we age.

Hi,

I received my new toy today, and even before Christmas.
Just unpacked it, ran a few tests and printed my first product.

Print time with Creality k1= 1h 30m
Print time with Anycubic Mega= 3h 30m

That's not bad, right?
