I always wanted to figure out a way to capture video on the Android Devices, so I can Promote it at the Android Market. I just recently discovered this to capture video. Phone must be Rooted. It works Ok. Anyone find anything better please let me know.

Droid VNC Android App

RealVNC for Windows or linux
RealVNC - Download VNC® Free Edition 4.1

Works just like the B4A bridge. Start Server with Android device and enter the IP and Port on the Windows/Linux side.

Note: You need Video Capturing software on the Windows/Linux side to record the event.

There is an app called Screencast Video Recorder that captures video from your phone screen and saves it on phone itself. The capturing is very smooth with normal frame rates and there is no lag which I saw on some other similar apps. It is a paid app and requires root, but you can test their free demo version to see if the app is compatible with your device.

App recording video screen captures of itself

Is there any way an app can record a video capture of itself and record it to a video file without root?

Additionally, would it be possible for the microphone to add the audio track to this video screen capture?
