Chart Widget

hey there,
is it possible to use a chart as a home screen widget? the documentation sound like "impossible" but i really need such stuff several times.

on a website i am using the google charts api, any chance to integrate this in b4a?

I don't think that's possible, widgets have a limited set of views, the tutorial to create widgets can be found HERE

You might be able to do it using the BroadcastReceiver library.

@urikupfer: how does it work? is that like building a bitmap image and saving it? i think that will wear down the flash storage very quick.

i think it is called a simple line chart. it must be updated round about every 5minutes

but i have a question about that timer. it is set to 1000 ms (equals 1 sec), but i just want an update of the chart every 5 or 10mins, so i can do it just by setting the minutes in the configurehomewidgets and kick the timer away - right?

is the bitmap/canvas just inside my tablets RAM or is it stored and rewritten on and on inside the flash memory?

I think that The bitmap is in the ram, anyway it`s small.
I put 1000 ms in the timer just for the sample. You can change it, but according the widget configuration help the smallest time is 30 min.
