Every evening when I am entering the chat I am feeling like in the picture Nighthawks from E. Hopper...

where the guy in the front could be HotShoe, and the two others are Mike and BARX...the Barmen....may be Erel, but I am not sure about....drinks are always out, when I enter the chat.

Let's think about the future of the B4A chat...

I wish I knew a way to revive the chat room, but I don't. It is less used now than when it was created a couple of years ago. New users still come in, but most times no one is around to answer questions. The reason for that is that the regulars have grown tired of sitting in there all alone for hours at a time staring at an empty room or at each other, in silence. I'm as guilty as anyone and I host the damned thing on my servers. I go in several times a day, but only stay for 5 minutes or so, Sometimes an hour, and sometimes I even get to talk to Barx, or Mike, or another moderator.

Even when I got Erel to come in and talk about the new B4I and the future of Anywhere Software, we only got 16 people total, and only 4 were new users that never asked for an account. The server is configured for 300 users, but the most it has ever seen by my records is 26, and that was over a year ago. I wish I new the answer, but I don't. I really miss it though. Don't worry, it doesn't take many resources to keep it running, so I don't have any real need to take it down, it's just frustrating.

maybe the reason is that most people here work at day and when they get home they find few hours to sit and code on their b4x projects. maybe they also enter the chat room but because we all live in different countries and there are big time differences, the chat room is empty...

it was also the holiday season, I'm back at work now so I'm there most of the 'working' day.

there's also the time zones issue, I see people joining between 1 and 7am euro time.
sometimes we need some sleep aswell you know ;)
