Hi,
i was wondering if there is a way to connect to a bluetooth device without pairing.
I have created an app for a company and this app uses a bluetooth transmitter to send navigational data. They are using a Google Nexus 7 as the device running the app and it all works fine (but the company have paired the device to the transmitter before it was fitted).
This system is fitted on board a ship so if the tablet gets damaged and they need a replacement the company do not want to send an engineer out to re-pair the device, they keep the MAC address of all transmitters fitted so in the set up i allow them to type in the MAC address, thinking that the tablet would just connect to the transmitter. What i found was because the tablet is in KIOSK mode a message displayd for about 1 second asking if you want to pair and then moves to the background. Is there a way for me to programmically ( not sure it is a word )say yes to the pairing and not require the user input.
Thanks
Stu
