Custom Font on Button

Am using custom font in my app. The font displays correctly on labels, but when I apply it to a button, the text does not show on the button, just an empty button. Ideas?

Have you set the font for the button?

MyFont = Typeface.LoadFromAssets("MyCustomFont.ttf")
   
Button1.Typeface = MyFont

Yes, i've done that, and it works fine with labels, but not the buttons.

Can you post your code so we can take a look?.

This is probably silly to ask but, have you set a "text" for the button? like:

PlayButton.Text = "Hello"

No, I just set the text the designer. Lemme try setting in code.

have u tried

have you tried testing one of the predefined fonts to see if it's all fonts or something about the custom one?
