B4R Question Deep Sleep Timer

Hi,
I've just noticed some problems - may be related to B4r 2.8 beta as I've just updated.
Using an 8266 programmer - it was happy to programme with a wire between D0 and RST(for deep sleep) but now seems to need a diode.
May be related: The deep sleep time seems to have gone haywire, what was a reliable 4 second delay is now anything up to 8 or so seconds. Timers seem to be working OK still.
Thanks

I have always needed a diode :)
Yes, other devices do, but this programmer was happy with just a wire for some reason - it's not really an issue but might help with the second point.
That issue is the same with either type of device.
Thanks
